Energizing People Through Effective Communication — Part One (90min)

Effective and accurate communication is an important factor in growing as an efficient and successful leader. To achieve professional success, leaders and managers must be effective and convincing communicators. Part One of this Foundation course will help you understand the role personality and communication preferences play in the communication process. Based on your DiSC assessment profile, you will learn how your own communication style and preference can energize engagement when working with others. You will also learn how flexing your style can help when working with situations where communications seem challenging.

Some of the topics covered in this session are:

  • Personality styles and communication preferences — what’s working to your advantage and what’s not
  • Tailoring and crafting your message with authenticity and transparency
  • Understanding the role of “intention” and how context shapes perception
  • Flexing your style and reframing communication challenges
